Word // 3

by i.burgess on October 13, 2009

The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him.He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him.But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God,who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.
John 1:9-13

The Word is the LightSince before all thingsHe has been the expression of God, in creating, in speaking, in shining.
And now is he time, into our reality does this light shine. Before he was a light from far offWhich humanity looked away from
But now the light is coming towards this placeThe work-a-day world will get lit upThe night-time economy will burn brightly
He who gave people their human-nessIs despised and forgottenYet there are a handful
These children of GodWho saw the light and said yesAre born once more, and bask in the glow of the glorious light
Glorious light who comes and changesI receive you this day, I hear the word, I see the lightAnd I am born of God as your child
Amen
