Mission Log #9

by i.burgess on March 28, 2010

Praise the LORD, all nations!
Extol him, all peoples!
For great is his steadfast love toward us,
and the faithfulness of the LORD endures forever.
Praise the LORD!
(Psalm 117)

God has been so good to the team. God has been present amongst us. I can tell because what he promised would happen when he is present amongst us has happened:

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. (Galatians 5:22-23)

Love: When we as a team stopped seeking only after our own good, and looked for what might be good for the other.

Joy: Laughing until we cried when watching movies

Peace: When it all went a bit wrong, and we had to find a walking route. We didn’t freak, there was calm.

Patience: Not hitting each other when we got on each others nerves

Kindness: Refusing to react negatively when provoked, instead doing good.

Goodness: When we loved those children with a pure love, not out of some secret ambition to gain converts.

Faithfulness: Doing the task when it got too hard and tiring to carry on. When it would be easy to walk out

Gentleness: Not meeting aggression with aggression.

Self-Control: Not losing it with each other or with the situation.

God has been present amongst us.

Praise him!
